John BiceJohn Bice is currently pursuing his Master’s of Environmental Studies (MES), Planning, at the University of Waterloo. John obtained an Honours Bachelors of Environmental Studies degree in Planning at the University of Waterloo with a minor in Geography and Environmental Management. John has completed multiple co-op internships with the Ministry of Transportation, Niagara Region, City of Hamilton, and York Region. He has created wildlife monitoring research projects for the MTO that protect automobile drivers from large ungulates on Ontario’s largest highways. He has also completed multiple development planning applications in the form of Minor Variances, Zoning By-law Amendments, Official Plan Amendments, Consents, Plan of Subdivisions, and Plan of Condominiums.
John is passionate about the environment and protecting both private and public land from over-development. He enjoys the outdoors and is a camping enthusiast. His research interests involve ecological monitoring and restoration, conservation and environmental stewardship, green technologies and infrastructure, and environmental health impacts. |
