Sarah is a second year Masters of Environmental Studies student. She attended the University of Guelph for her undergraduate degree, majoring in environmental biology. She has also received an advanced diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College in ecosystem management technology. She has a great interest in many outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, camping and snowboarding.
Her thesis research focuses on the social barriers associated with green stormwater infrastructure on private properties. She is focusing her research on the Town of Dundas, Ontario, but has furthered her research through her internship with REEP Green Solutions in the City of Kitchener. The results from her research in Dundas and her internship in Kitchener will provide her with the insights needed to determine some of the social barriers that help or hinder the implementation of green infrastructure on private properties.
